Bill Gates says that over the next decade advancements in artificial intelligence will make humans no longer needed for “most of the things” around the world.

In a recent interview on The Tonight Show on NBC’s with comedian Jimmy Fallon, Bill Gates said in future human expertise will no longer necessary for most things, which includes a great doctor and a great teacher.

Because in future over the next decade, with AI, that will become free and common place- great medical advice and great tutoring.

Free Intelligence Era: Bill Gates

In an Interview last with Harvard University Professor and happiness expert Arthur Brooks, Bill Gates stated that the world is entering in a new ear called ‘Free Intelligence’. In this Era all the things will be rapid advanced with AI powered technologies, where AI-powered tools will enhance medicine, education, and daily life.

“This shift is profound and even a little scary because it’s happening so fast,” Gates said.

Now debate has started that will AI will replace humans in all field. Another debate is that how exactly humans will fit in AI powered future.

Some believe AI will increase efficiency without completely replacing humans, while others warn of widespread job displacement.

In an Interview with India Express Adda Bill Gates stated, “Now that we have is intelligence which is scare, like brilliant doctors, brilliant engineers, even people to make support phone calls, telesales phone calls– we see intelligence is scare. And through AI we’ll able to solve unbelievably complex problems today. Not all of them, but a lot of them– they are already superhumans. But because they are not perfectly reliable, people are hesitating ‘Where should we apply these things’. I think if rolled out properly, these things can be used for health and education, etc. Whatever the timeline if the capability and reliability is perfected, then you’re in a world where inventing drugs, writing proposals, making tele sales calls– it’s just software! That intelligence will be free. So you go from a shortage of teachers, doctors, to as much doctor expertise as you want.”

Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, argues that AI will initially enhance human intelligence but ultimately replace many traditional jobs. In his book The Coming Wave (2023), he describes AI’s labor-replacing nature, predicting a dramatic shift in the workforce across all industries.
