The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Assam has released an official notification for the Combined Merit (Degree (UG) and Master (PG)) Scholarship 2025, exclusively for male students of the state. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students pursuing higher education in Arts, Science, or Commerce streams.
Eligibility Criteria for Assam UG & PG Scholarship for Male Students
Minimum Marks Required:
- 60% marks in Higher Secondary Final Year (for Degree Scholarship applicants).
- 60% marks in General Degree Course (for Master’s Scholarship applicants).
Course Eligibility:
Male students enrolled in 1st Semester General Master Degree Course in Arts/Science/Commerce discipline in provincialized/Govt. College or State/Central University of Assam for the session 2024-25 are eligible for the scholarship scheme.

Bank Account:
Candidates must have a valid active bank account in their own name (preferably in SBI). Bank details including account number, branch name, and IFSC code must be provided.
Disbursement:
The scholarship amount will be transferred through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) system directly to beneficiaries.
Selection Process:
Selection will be made strictly on a merit basis, subject to budget availability.
Incomplete Applications:
Applications with missing or incorrect details, or inactive bank accounts, will be rejected.
Scholarship Amount (Financial Assistance) of Assam UG & PG Scholarship for Male Students
- For U.G. (Degree) Students: ₹450 per month
- For P.G. (Master) Students: ₹500 per month
How to Apply for Assam Combined Merit Scholarship 2025
Eligible male students must apply online at http://dhe-operations.assam.gov.in/pg-scholarship-2025-26 between 8th November 2025 and 20th November 2025.
After online submission, candidates should take a printout of the application form and submit it to the Registrar/Principal/Head of the Institution along with the required documents for verification.
The verified application forms must reach the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19 on or before 6th December 2025.
Documents Required to apply for Assam UG & PG Scholarship for Male Students
- Certificate from the Registrar/Head of the Institution currently studying.
- Photocopy of the first page of the active bank account.
- Final marksheet of the last qualifying examination (HS/U.G.).
- Photograph and signature of the candidate.
- Copy of Aadhaar Card.
