In on going effort to make Assam drugs Free, Assam police launched operation against illegal drug trafficking. On February 24, late night Sribhumi Police seized huge amount of suspected heroin and arrest one in connection of it.
Based on special inputs, Sribhumi Police conducted an anti-narcotics operation under Ratabari Police Station. In this operation police seized 117 grams of suspected heroin. One indicidual arrested in connection of it.
Further investigation is going on.
Earlier on February 22, seized 7 Crore worth Yaba Tablet in Hawkip Punji, under Jirighat Police station. One accused name Chungkang Leotang arrested at Jirighat, Assam-Manipur border.
Earlier, on February 17, Cachar police has seized Rs. 14 crore drugs in Ramprasadpur, under Dholai Police Station.
