A several road accident occurred in Assam on Sunday, November 24, leaving behind three dead people and many individuals injured seriously.

One road accident occurred in Bohalpur Nathpara, Assam, under Chapar police station when a motorcycle got stuck under a stationary tractor, resulting in the death of Hemanta Nath, a local residents. Another rider, Tarun Nath, received severe injuries and rushed to Bongaigaon for emergency treatment. Furious locals attributed the accident to the careless parking of the tractor and demanded prompt action against such negligence.

Another accident took place on National Highway 17 at Makri in Goalpara as a head-on collision between a Swift car and a motorcycle took place. The unfortunate death of Shankar Barman, a resident of Bongaigaon, was the result of this accident. Another rider, Montu Rabha, was severely injured and under treatment. Authorities launched an investigation to unveil the circumstances of the crash.

Another road accident happened in Biswanath’s Baghmari Center where, on his way to the proposed demolition site, the speeding truck ran over a man, identified as Manoj Das. Das was taken to the hospital immediately after the mishap; he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Police have impounded the truck and are investigating the accident.

These accidents have ignited public outcry over Assamโ€™s road safety standards, with urgent calls for stricter traffic regulations and enforcement to prevent further tragedies.
