Assam police ’s STF seized heroin worth Rs 1.4 Crore in Balughat, Guwahati on December 7, 2024. Thee individual arrested in connection of it.
Based on specific intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) led by Inspector Kapil Pathak conducted a raids Beltola Bazar from where they arrest a man and, seized a scooter, some cash and a total of 27 vials containing 36.05 gram of heroin. Upon arresting him police also raid a rented house in Beltola Bazar, Garokuchi Path in Dispur police station area. From the police recovered and seized 102 vials containing 138 gram of heroin and two mobile phones.
Further investigation is going on.
Assam Police Chief Public Relations Officer Pranabjyoti Goswami said, “Upon being led by the arrested person, police searched a rented house in Beltola Bazar, Garokuchi Path in Dispur police station area and nabbed two more drug peddlers.”
