Assam Police on August 12, in the early hours identified 4 Bangladeshi Nationals, who were attempting to enter India through the Karimganj sector of the India-Bangladesh border.
The Police promptly intervened at the zero point and stopped them to enter India illegally. At around 1:30 am the Assam Police identified them and stopped them from entering.
The four Bangladeshi Nationals are identified as Motiur Seikh, Mushiar Mullah, Tania Mullah, and Rita Mullah.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said through social media, โThis morning at 1:30 AM, Bangladeshi citizens identified as Motiur Seikh, Mushiar Mullah, Tania Mullah, and Rita Mullah attempted to enter India through the Karimganj sector of the India-Bangladesh border. However, police effectively intervened at the zero point and promptly repelled them, preventing their unauthorized entry.โ
Earlier, on August 10, a group of 10-15 Bangladeshi Nationals reportedly crossed the border beyond Gate No. 50. They forcefully tried to enter the villages of Bhogdanga and Faushkarkuti in Dhubri are both located beyond the border fence.
