On August 11, Assam Security personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police conduct patrolling along with dog squad at the Guwahati Railway Station, ahead of Independence Day.
Speaking to Media Sub-Inspector Md AB Khan, RPFGuwahati said that the security personnel has high tightened security measures in the Railway Station in an attempt to prevent the any incidents. He also said that luggage, railway tracks, trains, entry and exit of the station.
He stated, “Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, we have tightened the security measures at the Guwahati Railway Station. We check railway tracks, trains, luggage, and entry/exit points of the railway station. We are on alert mode to prevent any untoward situation. We conduct patrolling on railway tracks from time to time and a dog squad is also at work inside the railway station…”
