Assam police has arrested 6 individual for Social Media post of supporting Pakistan following Pahalgam Terror Attack, Jammu and Kashmir. In the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, 26 people died.
Assam CM stated, “Assam will not tolerate any individual who, directly or indirectly, supports or defends Pakistan in connection with the heinous attack in Pahalgam.”
Following the social media post Assam police arrested six individual from different places of Assam.
They are identified as
Hailakandi – Md. Jabir Hussain
Silchar – Md. A.K. Bahauddin, Md. Javed Mazumder
Morigaon – Md. Mahahar Mia @ Md. Mujihirul Islam
Nagaon – Md. Aminul Islam
Sivasagar – Md. Sahil Ali
Muhammad Jabir Hussain, a journalist from Hailakandi and correspondent for a daily broadsheet, was arrested by Panchgram Police on Friday for posting derogatory remarks on Facebook following the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
In his post, Hussain allegedly suggested that the attack was a deliberate attempt to distract the Supreme Court from the ongoing Waqf Amendment issue.
