A chain snatching incident took place in Guwahati on Monday morning, where two men on a bike snatched chain from woman by threatening her with a sharp weapon.
According to sources, the incident took place in the area of Anil Nagar, Guwahati. The two miscreants went the area on a Pulsar bike and had a sharp weapon concealed under the jacket and threat the woman.
The victim woman identified as Mayuri Saikia. At the time of the incident she was on her way to work at the Down Town Hospital early morning at By-lane 2.
The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras that installed in the premises of an individual’s residence. Recording the movement of the two culprits.
Earlier, in June a chain snatching incident took place, where a woman named Geeta Das targeted by snatchers while she was out for morning walk in the Baruahpara locality of Azara. Two unidentified youth assaulted her and forcibly snatched a gold chain from her neck. She immediately filed an FIR to Azara Police station.
