On December 13, in the early hours a devastating video surpassed online depicting a gangrape involving a group of youth and a woman, which was circulating among the residents of Boragaon, Guwahati. When video came in the notice of Officer in charge of Garchuk Police Station, Inspector Mayurjit Gogoi, through a media person, they first analyze the video and went out to arrest the accused.
On 13 December, they managed to arrest 7 youth first from different location. In the evening police arrest the 8th prime suspected accused who was in run. In the late of same day police also arrest the ninth accused in man operation from Dhubri.
The gangraped incident was took place on December 11, 2024 at a Durga Temple in the Nijarapar area of Boragaon, where nine youth allegedly raped a woman as well as they film the henious crime. The incident came into light after a video of the incident circulate online.
Diganta Barah, Commissioner of Police of Guwahati said that at around 2:30 am on Friday, Gaorchuk police station had received information from Dharmendra Kalita, a media person at a local news channel that a video was circulating among the residents of the Boragaon area.

Kuldeep Nath (23), son of Sabin Nath, a resident of Gakhirchowk, Boragaon.
Bijoy Rabha (22), son of Kanak Rabha, a resident of Shiv Nagar Path, Boragaon.
Pinku Das (18), son of Rabin Das, a resident of Nizarapar, Boragaon.
Gagan Das (21), son of Ashu Das, a resident of Nizarapar, Boragaon.
Saurav Boro (20), son of Durga Boro, a resident of Bakul Nagar, Boragaon.
Mrinal Rabha (19), son of Sanjib Rabha, a resident of Pachim Boragaon, Nizarapar.
Dipankar Mukhiya (21), son of Late Deba Mukhiya, a resident of Tetelia, Padumbari, under Jalukbari Police Station.
Rabin Das (23), son of Late Nipen Das, a resident of Bakul Nagar, Boragaon.
Krishna Barman, apprehended from Golakganj in Dhubri district.
