A distressing incident took place in Cachar ’s Gumrah which shocked the local community of the area. A 15 years old girl has raped for multiple times, and the incident discovered when the minor discovered as pregnant.
According to reports, an incident came out where a girl raped multiple times by 50 years old man of neighbours in Gobinda Kupa Tea Estate of Kalain’s Gumrah, Cachar.
The man identified as Babul Lohar a local neighbour, who raped the victim for an extended time period with various temptations.
The incident came out after she got ill and taken to Doctor, there doctor discovered of her pregnancy.
The family of the girl was unaware of this incident. Minor Victim girl out of fear and shame did not said about the incident at home, by thinking this might end her life or she might be thrown out of her home.
The family, shocked by the discovery, and filed a reported on the incident to the police after confirming her pregnancy.
The police have arrested the accused Babul Lohar, who now faces serious charges related to the sexual abuse against minors.
The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, makes sexual abuse of minors (under 18 years) a crime. This law applies to anyone, regardless of gender, who commits, helps, or tries to commit sexual offenses against children.
