A shocking incident has shaken Assam’s Nagaon district after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly murdered and later found hanging from a tree in the Itapara area of Solmari.
The victim, identified as Ariful Islam, was discovered hanging under suspicious circumstances, prompting immediate concern among local residents. According to sources, a resident named Godi Sheikh and his son are accused of killing the minor and attempting to pass it off as a suicide. Ariful had reportedly gone to Sheikh’s house to collect firewood when the alleged crime took place.
Police said the exact motive behind the brutal act is still unclear.
Both accused are currently absconding, and Nagaon Police have launched an intensive manhunt to trace and arrest them.
