In a major development in the ongoing investigation of Zubeen Garg death, the SIT arrested DSP Sandipan Garg after a round of questioning at the CID office on Wednesday.
Sandipan Garg arrested minutes after interrogation by CID. According to officials, he will be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court later today.
Sandipan Garg, who is a cousin of the late singer Zubeen Garg. He was reportedly present on the yacht in Singapore at the time of the tragic incident that claimed Zubeen Garg’s life. Earlier this week, SIT questioned him as part of the widening probe.

Following his initial interrogation, Sandipan had written on his official Facebook page, “I’ve fully cooperated with the SIT,” referring to the marathon questioning session.
The investigation into Zubeen Garg’s mysterious death has seen several significant arrests and revelations in recent days.
On October 1, the SIT arrested two key figures — Siddharth Sharma, Zubeen’s manager, and Shyamkanu Mahanta, the festival organiser behind the Singapore event. Both have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Additionally, musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and singer Amritprabha Mahanta were taken into custody and remanded to 14 days of police custody in connection with the case.
