Virat Kohli is seen missing from two test match against England due to some personal reason. On Saturday, the true reason for not playing the test match is revealed by Virat Kohli’s close friend and former South Africa captain AB de Villiers. He said that the India cricket star and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child. After the reveal a question arise that will Virat Kohli return for the remaining last three match. Later in the evening, there were reports suggesting that the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar is scheduled to talk to the former India captain about his plans as soon as possible.

Kohli is initially part of the cricket team of India. He was named in the squad for the opening two test, but on 22 January he pulled out his name from the first two test match three days before the first test match against England which took place in Hyderabad.

Where did AB De Villiers reveal about Virat Kohli’s reason?

AB De Villiers made the revelation during a Q&A session in his You Tube channel, where his one fan ask a question that whether he talked with Kohli after he withdraw from the first two match and did he will come back for the last three test match.

In this question he answered, “All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is doing well.”

By giving clarification what he reveal he start reading his text message with Kohli. In it he said, “”Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you a little bit of love,” he added. “So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you for a while now biscuits. How are you?’. He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well’.

He also said, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that.”

BCCI Statement about Kohli for not playing Test match against England

On 22 January just three days before the first Test against England team, Kohli decided to withdraw from the matches in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. In a statement by the BCCI, it mentioned that Kohli spoke with India captain Rohit Sharma and the team management, explaining that, although representing his country is crucial, he needed to focus on personal matters at the moment.

The BCCI urged fans and the media not to speculate on Kohli’s absence and announced Rajat Patidar as his replacement for the first two Tests. The board emphasized respecting Kohli’s privacy and directed the focus towards supporting the Indian cricket team in the upcoming Test series challenges. De Villiers did not confirm whether Kohli would return for the final three matches against England.
