A Travel influencer of Mumbai, Aanvi Kamdar died after falling into 300-foot into a George of waterfall while shooting an Instagram reel near Mumbai, Raigad district of Maharashtra.
Aanvi Kamdar Kamdar gained fame and admiration by her art of reel making. Professionally she is a charted accountant. Aanvi Kamdar Kamdar was a resident of Mumbaiโs Mulind area.
According to Police, 27 years old reel star Aanvi Kamdar Kamdar and her 7 other friends was on a monsoon outing. On 16 July, they gone for an outing at famous Kumbhe waterfall at Mangaon near Mumbai. While shooting an Instagram reel, she slipped and fell into 300-foot George of Waterfall.
In Instagram she handle @theglocalijournal, where she post her travels reels.
After the incident her friends immediately alerted the local police and quickly jumped into action. The Rescue team along with Coast Guard, Kolad rescue team and Maharashtra State Electricity Board staff came for support.
A rescuer told NDTV, โAs soon as we reached the spot, we realised that the girl has fallen nearly 300-350 feet. Even after reaching her, it was difficult to get her up, as she was injured and it was raining heavily. So, we decided to get her out using a vertical pulley,โ
Another rescuer said that large stones kept falling down the George which make the rescuer more difficult for the rescue operation.
The rescue team found and recovered her from George after 6 hours operation. She suffered serious injuries in the accident. The rescuers immediately rushed her to nearby hospital where she died during treatment, said the Mangaon police.
The Authorities urge the tourist to be extra careful during visit at any waterfall site during Monsoon season.
