A deadly high-speed collision on National Highway 6 near Patelnagar, Sribhumi, Assam claimed the life of one truck driver and left another critically injured on November 24.
Police said the accident occurred after a truck travelling from Tripura stopped on the roadside due to a rear tyre burst. Another truck was already parked nearby. A third speeding vehicle then rammed into the stationary truck, pushing it off the road and trapping the driver underneath. Officers confirmed that he died on the spot.
The victim was identified as Shekhar Paul, a resident of Panisagar, Tripura. His body was later sent to Sribhumi Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

The driver of the first truck, Abdul Hakim from Kumarghat, sustained serious injuries and was referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment.
Authorities are now investigating how the speeding truck lost control and whether poor roadside conditions may have played a role.
