Robbers Posing as CBI officials Loots House of Businessman in Cachar, Assam

A robbery incident took place in Dholai, Cachar, Assam where a group of robbers posing as CBI officials, entered house and looted cash of 35 lakh, along with jewellery worth lakh rupees.

According to information, a group of 15 to 20 armed robbers posing as CBI officials with fake identity entered at the resident of local business man, Abul Hussain at around 2 am. The robbers entered the house and threatening the family with firearms. The incident occurred in Baga Islamabad locality, under Dholai legislative assembly, Cachar.

Robbers first tied the family member and began looting valuable things like jwellery worth over Rs 10 lakh and Rs 35 Lakh cash.

After looted the house, the robbers gang fled from the scene by business man Scorpio vehicle. They drove about 500 meters, left the vehicle and its keys on the road and ran away on foot.

News of the robbery spread quickly in the area, creating a buzz. The local police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.
