Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Assam Advantage 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit on February 25 in Guwahati. While addressing at the summit Mukesh Ambani Announces Rs 50,000 Cr Investment over the next five years.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), stated “Assam is known as the tea paradise, in the coming years and decades I am sure Assam will known as also the technology paradise.”
He outlined a growth plan that includes setting up an AI-ready center in the state. Ambani also said that AI, which stands for Artificial Intelligence, will soon represent “Assam Intelligence,” as he believes the state’s youth will excel in technology and other fields.
Ambani began his speech by greeting people in Assamese and offering prayers to Goddess Kamakhya. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for bringing Assam into the center of India’s growth story.
He stated, “The greatest advantage of every Assamese and rather every Indian is having been blessed by PM Modi’s leadership.” Mukesh Ambani also added, “You have brought four advantages to Assam. You brought Assam from the periphery to the centre of India’s growth story. You have given the mantra to Assam of Act East, Act Fast, and Act First. PM Modi have heralded an unprecedented era of connectivity revolution in the Northeast. You have made technology the main driver of development. Until now, Assam was known as the tea paradise. In the coming years, it will be known as tech paradise.”
Reliance Investment Five Priorities in Assam Addressed at Advantage Assam 2.0
Mukesh Ambani has stated, “In the previous summit in 2018, Reliance had committed an investment of Rs 5000 Cr in Assam, since than our investment in the state has exited Rs 12,000 Cr. In the coming years Reliance will more than contributed this investment in Assam over Rs 50,000 Cr over the next five years, in the following five priorities area.”
First Priority: To Make Assam Tech Ready and AI ready. Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance will established an AI ready Data Center in Assam, which will benefit
- Students with AI assistant teacher,
- patients with AI assistant doctor,
- Agriculture will benefit with AI assistant Farmer and
- AI will help Assam Youth to learn from Home and earn from Home.
Second Priority: To make Assam Hub of Clean and Green Energy. He stated that Reliance will build two world class hub compressed of bio gas and CPD in Assam.
Third Priority: To help Assam become a major supplier of food and non food consumer products to national and international markets. He said that RIL will set up Mega food Park, which will add value to the abandoned agriculture and horticulture produce of Assam. RIL has already set up Cola bottling plant.
Forth Priority: Retail & Market Expansion, He stated, “We will double the number of Reliance retail stores in the state from existence 400 to 800 stores in the next five years.”
Fifth Priority: To boost high-end hotel and hospitality economy in Assam. He stated, “Assam will build a luxury 7-star Oberoi hotel in the heart of Assam.”
Mukesh Ambani also stated that these five mega initiatives will create tens of thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities Youth in Assam.
