A Rapido Driver in Guwahati arrested for allegedly raping a young woman, who came to Guwahati in search of work.
According to reports, a Rapido driver Fakir Khan hailing from Cachar, Assam has arrested for allegedly raped a young woman. The victim woman first went in Amingaon seeking for employment before arriving to Guwahati.
In the area of Maligaon, she the driver, who offered her a ride and promised to help her find work in the Guwahati city.
However the driver had a bad intention, so he allegedly took the woman to a secluded area near the Kamakhya railway station under the guise of helping her and then raped her. After committing the crime he dropped the victim woman at the ISBT area and fled from the scene.
The victim woman filed a complaint against the Rapido Driver Arrested at the Jalukbari police station, Guwahati. On Tuesday, August 13, the police arrest the rapist Fakir Khan on the complaint (Case No. 383/24). Further investigation is going on
