Photos and Sketches of Terrorist of attack, in which killed at least 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir was released by security agencies on Wednesday.

Massive search operation is going on in Jammu and Kashmir to catch the terrorist.

The attackers, suspected to be from The Resistance Front – a group linked to the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The terrorist opened fire on tourists at the popular Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam. It was one of the deadliest terror attacks in Kashmir after removal of Article 370 in 2019.

The suspected terrorist identified as are Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cut short his Saudi Arab Visit and returned to Delhi. While Home Minister Amit Shah went to the Pahalgam Tourist Attack spot. He meet the family of the victims who died in the attack.

The sketch of the terrorists were prepared with the help of the survivors, the official said.

The Army officials stated that the attackers may have crossed over from Kishtwar in Jammu and reached Baisaran through Kokernag in South Kashmir to carry out one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in the Valley in recent years.

The Pahalgam Terrorist Attack

At least 5-6 terrorist 5–6 terrorists, dressed in camouflage and kurta-pyjamas, came out from the dense pine forests around Baisaran meadow and opened fire with AK-47 rifles.

Intelligence sources say the group included Pakistani terrorists who had entered the Valley just days before the attack. Saifullah Kasuri, also known as Khalid, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, has been named as the mastermind behind the attack.” Reported India today.

Security forces have launched a massive search operation to find the attackers, using helicopters to search the forest area where the terrorists escaped.

The terrorist used military-grade weapons and advanced communication devices, indicating external logistical support.

The attackers came fully prepared, carrying dry fruits and medicines. Sources said they had also surveyed the Pahalgam area earlier with help from some locals.

An eyewitness state that two of the attackers spoke Pashto, suggesting they were from Pakistan, while two others—Adil and Asif—were locals from Bijbhera and Tral.
