Oil Theft gang has been arrested by the Kaliabor police. A total of 5 individual arrested.
Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rupjyoti Dutta said, “We had information about an oil theft ring in the Amoni to Sulung area of Kaliabor. This was a secret operation, so we didn’t inform anyone beforehand. Based on our leads, we caught five oil thieves and seized Rs one lakh in cash and two vehicles from them.”
A shocking report come out that, Rezaul Huda Faraji, also known as Rakibul, a leader of the All Assam Minorities Students’ Union (AAMSU) and son of Ruphihat MLA Nurul Huda, has been linked to an oil theft racket in Kaliabor. The police in Kaliabor are searching for Rezaul, who is still missing.

The arrested individual arrested are identified as, Alam Ali of Tezpur Kachari Pam, Jamaluddin of Bagari in Kaliabor, Ibrahim Ali of Samaguriโs Kholihamari, Abdul Khalil of Tezpurโs Bhomoraguri, and Taher Ali of Kaliabor.
The police also seized two luxury vehicles with registration number AS 12 AE 8977 and AS 12 AA 2648. One Lakh Cash has been seized along with the vehicles.
The arrested individual are under interrogation at Uluvani Police Station.
Meanwhile, the police found a financial link between Rezaul Huda Faraji and the oil theft racket during their investigation. A Rs 60,000 transaction from the bank account of one of the arrested suspects, Ibrahim Ali, was traced to Rezaul. Based on this evidence police are now intensified their search for Rezaul, conducting nighttime searches at the MLAโs colony in Guwahati. But he is still missing.
