The National Test Agency (NTA) has proposed to take re-exam of NEET exam 2024 in Supreme Court for the students who got grace marks.
The Supreme Court resolved the petitions against the NTA decisions to award grace marks in the NEET-exam 2024 on Thursday. The NTA proposed to take re-exam of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET-UG 2024) to 1,563 candidates which accepted by the SC. They also cancelled Score cards of the candidate.
The re-exam of NEET-UG 2024 will conduct on June 23, with results and counselling expected by June 30. The exam will be conducted in the six centers where the grace marks has given. The grace marks has given to the student for loss of time during the NEET-UG 2024 examination. The exam centers are two in Chhattisgarh (one each in Balod and Dantewada), one each in Meghalaya, Surat, Haryana and Chandigarh.
1,563 candidates scorecards of NEET Exam 2024 will cancel by NTA
The Supreme Court also said to cancel the scorecards of the 1,563 candidates who got grace marks. The candidate who will not appear the exam, the original score without grace marks will be considered.
The Court also issued a notice regarding the petition of alleged malpractices in the conduct exam of NEET. The tagged with petition coming on July 8.
One of the petition included filed by Physicswallah CEO Alakh Pandey. They also include petition seeking to cancel NEET 2024exam on account of an allegation of question paper leaks and malpractices.
The re-exam will held because many of the student got grace marks so they got 719 or 718 which is impossible. As well as 67 students got full marks which is 720 out of 720.
The affected has given now to option as they have to re-appear for re-exam of NEET-UG 2024 that will be held on June 23 or have to accept the original they got.
This year the NEET-UG 2024exam held on May 5 and them result declared on June 4. Total of 24 lakh students has appeared for the exam.
