National Test Agency has released a notification for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024 for the admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher (ITEP) in selected Central University/Institution including IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2024-2025.

What is NCET?

National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Qualifying in NCET is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2024-25.

National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024

National Common Entrance Test 2024 will be conducted in 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for admission to a 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central / State Universities / Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2024-25. The Notification of the test has released on 13 April 2024. The online application also started from same day. The last date of the online apply for the exam is on 30 April.

The exam will be held on 12 June 2024.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate who have passed 12 or equivalent examination can apply for the exam.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit to apply for the exam.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode of the Test: Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Test Pattern: Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions
  • Total Questions: 181
  • Questions to be Attempted: Candidates need to attempt 160 out of the total questions.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries +1 mark.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.
  • Medium of exam: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu )

How to apply NCET 2024 Exam

  1. First go through the official website https://ncet.samarth.ac.in/ Click on the Register option
  2. Now give all the details and submit with password.
  3. After successful submission of the personal details, an Application number will generated and it will used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form
  4. Now click on the Sign in/log in with generated Application Number and pre-created Password
  5. Now give all the details with upload all the document clear fully and submit
  6. Now candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. By submitting the application process is complete and donโ€™t forget to take print out of online application form.

The fee can submitted through only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.

Syllabus

Language: Language to tested through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary

Domain Subject: As per Class 12 syllabus only.

General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Teaching Aptitude: Topics related to the teaching of science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Languages, etc.
