Massive Fire Broke Out at Sadarghat, Silchar in the early morning on January 16, 2025. The fire has engulfed the warehouse of a wedding hall. The fire became worse after two cooking gas cylinders exploded. Eight fire engines worked for an hour to bring the flames under control.
But the warehouse has become ashes, which caused damage of lakh rupees.
On January 16, in the early morning fire broke out at Milan Mandir, a luxury wedding hall in Sadarghat, Silchar. The fire has spread all over the warehouse quickly, and two gas cylinder exploited which make more difficult to take control over fire.
8 Fire engines went to the spot from Dholai, Silchar and Udharbond. They fire officials took control over fire after several hours but, the ware house has completely burned down, causing damage worth several lakhs of rupees.
Officials suspect that the cause of the fire would be short circuit.
Some believe the fire may have started from waste being burned on the banks of the Barak River, located behind the wedding hall. Residents from nearby houses came out onto the streets, moving LPG cylinders to safer places.
According to some locals, the fire began near the Manoranjan Complex on the left bank of the Barak River. The fire spread quickly due to the presence of several wooden structures. The warehouse that was completely destroyed belonged to Chakkeshwari Tent House, which also owns the Milan Mandir wedding hall.
