A report has come from Hailakandi, where a man allegedly tortured after being taken into custody at Panchgram Police Station, Hailakandi, Assam.
A car driver allegedly subjected to severe torture while in custody. Following the incident, the Superintendent of Police has ordered the transfer of the officer in charge, Kalpajyoti Bora. Additionally, Assistant Sub-Inspector Dilwar Hussain Laskar who was involved in the incident, has been placed under reserve suspension.
Authorities have also apprehended a broker, Bablu Laskar, who is reportedly connected to the incident.
