25 people killed and 8 people remain injured in Maharashtra bus accident

At least 25 people died and 8 people injured in an Maharashtra bus accident. The bus caught fire. The accident took place at around 1:35 am, Saturday on the Samurddhi Mahamarg near Buldana in Maharashtra. The police said that the bus was on the way to Pune from Nagpur. The Bus was carrying a total of 33 passenger. The injured people taken to Buldhana Civil Hospital. At the time of accident all the passenger was sleeping in the bus.

Police registered an FIR against the driver who was driving the Bus and survived. Police said that, “the bus is travelling at a high speed. After that it hit at poll at first and then a wall of high way. Because of this impact the front tyre of the bus burst and fire caught the diesel tank. For hitting the pole the bus overturned on the side of the door so, the passenger could not come out from the bus.

They also said, “The driver of the bus, who survived the incident, said that the bus hit the pole after a tyre burst”.

According to Buldhana SP Sunil Kadasane, “The bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when it met with an accident on Samruddhi Mahamarg motorway at around 1:35 a.m. After which the diesel tank of the bus caught fire.” Eight people could save their lives. The bus carried approximately 33 passengers. The bulk of deaths were caused by fire.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra CM to give relief Fund

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that “An ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the bus mishap in Buldhana. Rs. 50,000 would be given to the injured”

CM Shinde announced,” Rs. 5 lakhs will give to the each deceased families from the Chief Minister relief Fund.”

Maharashtra CM Eknath Sindhe and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis reached the accident site.

“The bus driver and conductor have taken into custody by police,” Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan says of the Buldhana bus accident.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, “the remains body burnt beyond recognition, and if the identities of the victims cannot be determined, DNA test will performed.”
