Karimganj Police launched operation against drugs. On 15 May, Based on secret information launched an operation at Badarpur, Karimganj. There they managed seized around 1.2 kg of suspected heroin or drugs. They also arrest an individual.
According to some reports, Karimganj Police got a secret information on Tuesday night. According to this information the police launched an operation which is lead by AASP Pratap Das at Badarpur.
On Wednesday at around 7 am Karimganj Police intercepted a truck which was coming from Mizoram. After a while they managed to recovered a sack under the seat, which was full of 110 soap cases of heroin drugs. According to police the worth of the recovered drugs worth to be 10 Crore.
The Driver of the vehicle managed to escape near the jungle but the police arrested the co-driver. The co-driver identified as Sahab Uddin.
The police is now interrogating the co-driver. Further investigation is going on.
