Two Goods Train collided head on, in this accident two loco Pilot of both trains died and 4 other people injured on Tuesday Morning. The train accident occurred at around 3:30 am near Bhognadih in the Barhait police station area, of Jharkhand according to local police officials.
The both goods train operated by power major NTPC, were traveling on a track primarily used for transporting coal to its power plants. The impact of the collision resulted in the deaths of both train drivers.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Sahebganj Kishore Tirkey told PTI , “The drivers of both the goods trains were killed in the head-on collision”.
According to reports, the accident was so horrific that the engines of both train shattered and caught fire. When the collision occurred one goods train was already standing at the track and another goods train came at high speed and collided head-on. Both was in the same track. The question arises that how did two train came at the same track?

NTPC Assistant General Manager Shantanu Das stated news agency IANS, “This accident will investigated. As of now, it seems that the controller here has made a mistake in setting the point. The Assistant Loco Pilot i.e. ALP is also seriously injured. His statement will also taken.”
The emergency team and the railway officials with police and fire brigade reached immediately at the spot after getting information about the accident. They started rescuing the worker. They first extinguished the fire and then they removed the dead body of the loco pilot from the engines.
Four other people injured, which includes railway worker and CISF Jawan. All were rescued and sent them to hospital for treatment.
Further investigation is going on.

Earlier, on March 30 Bengaluru-Kamakhya Express train’s 11 coaches derailed from railway line near Odisha’s Nergundi station at around 11:54 am. In this incident one people died and 8 people injured. Railways announced Rs 5 lakh for the next kin of the deceased and Rs 2.5 lakh to the injured people. Rs 50,000 for those who get minor injuries.
