ITI Student Brutally Murdered in Margherita, Tinsukia

Tinsukia, Assam: An ITI student named Aditya Bhumij (20 years old) was brutally murdered in Namdang tea state in Margherita, Tinsukia, Assam on Saturday night.

The incident occurred near McLeod Russell Company Namdang tea estate on 1 June. His dead body was recovered hours after when two friends of his forcefully taken him from house.

According to reports, Aditya Bhumij had left his house at around 8.00 pm on Saturday after his two friends Pranjal Jyoti Sharma and Ujjal Sonowal called him. After some time when he did not return, his family and local residents went on search of him. But later they found his dead body near the Tea estate.

Immediately they called police. Police immediately arrived at scene and sent the dead body to hospital for postmortem. On Sunday, night his dead body was returned for final rites.

In response to the situation, Local residents Ajay Tanti has urged the Margherita sub-divisional authorities for immediate investigation. He also urged the police to arrest the individual in connection of murdered. Margherita Police currently interrogating Pranjal Jyoti Sharma and Ujjal Sonowal as part of Investigation.

It has said that Aditya Bhumij is the only son of Kathik Bhumij.

Aditya Bhumij’s mother expressed her sorrow and said that Aditya was taken against his will, and his two friends fled away from the scene after the incident. The community is in mourning, and there is a somber atmosphere at the Bhumij household.

Further investigation is going to find who is the murderer of the ITI Student.
