Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025: Online Application Started

The online application for the Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025 has started from 25^th June 2025 and will continue till October 31. The eligible candidate of North Eastern region can apply online. To know the eligibility, go through the post.

Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025 details

Ishan Uday Scholarship is a special scholarship for the North Eastern Region of India, where 10,000 students belonging to economical weaker section of North Eastern Region, are available to get Rs 8000 per month. The scheme is launched by University Grants Commission (UGC) to promote higher education. The student who passed class 12 or HS can apply for the scholarship.

Every year 10,000 fresh scholarship distributed among the economical weaker section of North Eastern Region, who are perusing General Degree Course, Science, Engineering & Technology, medical, technical, agriculture, forestry programmes.

Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The Scholarship is open to those students who have passed Class XII or equivalent examination from a school situated within NER through a recognized Board of Education including CBSE, ICSE or NIOS.

The scholarship is available for those students only, who are pursuing a recognized UG degree programmes

Only the students, who are already admitted in the first year of UG degree programme in an eligible university/college/institution within India, are eligible to apply.

The scholarship is available to the students for first UG Degree only

The scholarship is available for students who are admitted in UG degree programme through ‘Regular/Full Time’ mode only.

The income of the parents of the student should be below Rs. 04.50 lakh per annum.

Student should have a valid Domicile Certificate of any State of NER.

Bank Account Requirements:

• Make sure you have a KYC-compliant bank account in your name.
• Ensure the bank details (account number, name, IFSC code) are correct in the application. Any mismatch may stop your scholarship payment.

Students who are not eligible

The Students, who have already acquired any degree, are not eligible to apply.

The students, who are pursuing any UG programme through open/ distance/ correspondence/ private/ part-time mode, are not eligible to apply.

Students gaining admission through ‘Management Quota’ are not eligible to apply.

How to apply for the Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025

First Go through National Scholarship Portal

Click on Student and then click on Apply for Scholarship

Then click on the Register Yourself as you are a new Register for OTR and Registration number

Then Register Yourself, provide Mobile number and the other documents that needed.

After registration click on Login to apply online for the scholarship.

Fill the online application form carefully. Students are not required to upload any certificate/affidavit on NSP while submitting their online applications.

However, as per requirement of scheme they have to submit necessary documents to their institutions to enable them to verify their online applications.

Lastly take a print of the online application and take a hard copy of all the documents that given in the portal and submit it to the college or institution.

After verifying the eligibility of its students for scholarship under the scheme, the institution shall verify the online application on NSP within the stipulated time.

While verifying the online application, the institutions shall upload a scanned copy of certificate on the Portal.
