The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has declared that the HS Final Exam 2026 will be conducted in February-March 2026. The Board has informed that the online form fill up of the exam has started from today (October 22) and will continue till November 25, 2025. There will be no Offline forms.
Accordingly, all the Heads of the Institutions under the jurisdiction of the ASSEB, Division-ll requested to notify their students regarding the process of online form fill up during the said period SO THAT NO ELIGIBLESTUDENT IS LEFT OUT THE FORM FILL UP PROCESS.
Further, it is also to noted that the ASSEB, Division -II will not allow any provisional/offline form fill up in the ensuing H.S. Final Examination-2026. If any student left out to fill up form within the stipulated time, then he/she will not able to appear in the forth coming H. S. Final Examination2026.

Fee Exemption Announced for Economically Weaker HS Final Exam Students of 2026
In a major relief for students from financially weaker backgrounds, the government has announced an exam fee exemption as per Notification No. E-238074/471 dated November 7, 2022. Students studying in government, provincialised, or recognised venture institutions, whose parents’ annual income is ₹2 lakh or below, will not required to pay examination fees.
Betterment, Repeat, and Compartmental Students Can Apply
In a separate notification issued on October 14, the Assam State Secondary Education Board (ASSEB) has allowed the following categories of students to apply for examinations:
- Betterment / Re-appearance candidates
- In Certain Subject
- Under Compartmental category
- Under Repeat Category candidates
Students opting for improvement (betterment) will allowed to appear in up to four subjects, while retaining their previous marks for the remaining subjects. A single new mark sheet will issued after the exam, and the old one must surrendered to the Board.
The ASSEB has clearly stated that no change of subject or examination scheme will entertained after form submission.
