On 14 April, at least 4 hospitals of Delhi received bomb threat via email this morning, the Delhi Police reported. The hospitals is being searched by the bomb squad and sniffer dogs.
Fire engines and ambulance are also standby too near the hospitals.
The Hospitals which received the bomb threat are Delhi State Cancer Institute near GTB Hospital, Dada Dev Hospital in Dabri, Hedgewar Hospital and Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital said Delhi Fire Department.
“Police and the bomb disposal squad are currently conducting inspections. We’ve also conducted checks twice. So far, nothing suspicious has been found,” stated VK Sharma, the security officer at Hedgewar Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has started investigation to trace the origin of threat email.
Several bomb hoaxes have been reported in recent weeks, coinciding with heightened security measures nationwide due to the ongoing elections.
Two days ago, on Sunday many hospitals and an airport received similar bomb threat through emails.
Earlier on May 1, over 50 schools received bomb threat in Delhi via email in the morning time, which later turned to hoax calls.
Senior police officers disclosed that several prominent schools, including Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, DPS in R K Puram, and Vasant Kunj in the Southern district, received threatening emails. The threats were sent to the schools via an email service based in Russia
