On Friday, a SpiceJet Flight, SG 2448, executed an emergency landing at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati, due to a bomb threat received via email. This Bomb Threat turned out to be a hoax.
The flight was travelling from Delhi to Shillong when the threat was reported, which leads to a diversion to Guwahati.
After landing at airport, the security quickly moved the plane to a secure area to ensure the safety of the passengers. In the flight there was about 75 passengers on board, all of them was unharmed.
Meanwhile, authorities on the ground are investigating the origin of the hoax bomb threat, which caused unnecessary panic, emergency landing in Guwahati and disruption.
