A shocking incident took place, where a minor girl, who is a tennis player murder his own mother in Guwahati, Assam.
The incident took place on September 27, at around 7:30 pm in Purnima Mansion, located in Chachal area of Guwahati.
According to reports, the accused tennis player (17 years old), was taken into custody for killing her mother, Manju Devi (40 years old). Reports, indicate that she used a mortar and pestle to kill her mother during a heated argument.
At time of the incident, the accused father Deep Chand Prasad, a tennis coach was away from home on his coaching duties. According to police, the mother and daughter had a heated argument that quickly got out of control. In a moment of anger, the girl allegedly picked up a heavy mortar pestle and struck her mother multiple times, causing fatal injuries.
Neighbours, hearing disturbing noises from the family’s flat, called the police. Dispur police immediately arrived immediately and arrest the accused.

In her statements, Tania said she doesn’t feel guilty of the crime. She claimed her father, Deep Chand Prasad, who is a tennis coach, abused her both physically and mentally. She said her mother didn’t help her when she asked for support, making her feel stuck in a toxic home. Reported in Pratidin Time.
Tania explained that the family environment was full of conflict, and she felt her parents disliked her because she was a girl.
