Basistha police in Guwahati have achieved a major success, police arrest three notorious robbers who were targeting women and businessmen in the Basistha and Beltola areas.
The trio, identified as Nitul Boro from Udalguri, Surjit Boro from Beharbari in Guwahati, and Surya Kumar Sharma from Kamalpur in Kamrup, were involved in multiple robberies. They were known for stealing mobile phones and gold chains at knifepoint, spreading fear among the locals.
This trio had been linked in several thefts and robberies, which spreads the fear among the locals of Basistha locality for an extended period.
During the operation, the Guwahati police seized a two-wheeler with the registration number AS 01GB 3048 from the suspects. They also recovered the stolen mobile phones.
Investigations into their criminal activities are still ongoing.
