Garima Saikia Garg, wife of singer Zubeen Garg, has shared a emotional post on social media, which expressed her grief over her husband’s untimely death. In her post she stated, “20 days …Am I really alive?”

Famous singer Zubeen Garg tragically passed away on September 19, 2025, following a scuba diving incident in Singapore. Is it true or not investigation is going on in this case. He had travelled Singapore to perform at the North East India Festival. Despite prompt medical attention, he could not be revived. His sudden death sent shockwaves across Assam and the Indian music industry, sparking widespread public outcry and a formal investigation.

Garima, who has been vocal since the tragedy, alleged that Zubeen was coerced into participating in the dive and highlighted serious safety lapses. “I kept calling for details but did not get any,” she said in a recent statement, expressing frustration over the lack of transparency.

Four People arrested on Zubeen Garg Death Case

In response to growing public demand for justice, the Assam government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the circumstances surrounding Zubeen’s death. So far, four individuals have been arrested:

  • Siddharth Sharma – Zubeen’s manager
  • Shyamkanu Mahanta – Festival organiser of the North East India Festival
  • Shekhar Jyoti Goswami – Zubeen’s bandmate and drummer
  • Amritprabha Mahanta – Singer and co-performer at the event

The arrests were made on grounds of alleged negligence and misconduct. Bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami revealed that Zubeen, who had a history of seizures, was forced to dive after an all-night party. He further alleged that organizers ignored visible signs of distress—such as frothing from Zubeen’s mouth—and delayed seeking medical help.

Preliminary investigations also uncovered financial irregularities, including transactions worth ₹1 crore through the accounts of Zubeen’s personal security officers, raising further suspicion.

Meanwhile, Rupkamal Kalita, an NRI based in Singapore and one of the eight individuals present on the yacht during the incident, has volunteered to assist authorities with the ongoing probe.

Through her grief, Garima Saikia Garg has appealed to the public to keep politics away from Zubeen’s death, urging everyone to respect his memory and legacy. “Do not want politics to cloud Zubeen’s death,” she said.

An Investigation is going on to know the truth behind the mysterious death of the singer.
