A fire broke out in AC Coach of special train of Holi which was running between Danapur and Mumbai on 26 March night. The fire erupt in the coach of 01410 Danapur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Holi special train near Bihar. The fire was under control by the officials and no casualties reported. This incident took place near Karisath station, at a short distance from Arrah Junction, Bihar.
Danapur DRM Jayant Chaudhary told ANI “A coach caught fire yesterday. The coach was isolated immediately. The fire was later controlledโฆ There are no casualties because the coach which caught fire did not have any reservationsโฆ 4-5 trains may have been divertedโฆ”
Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railways reported that an Fire broke out in a train AC coach close to Karisath station, near from Ara Junction in Bhojpur district, Bihar. He mentioned that there were no casualties or injuries as the train was promptly evacuated upon the detection of fire. However, he noted that the incident caused a temporary suspension of train services in both directions.
The Holi Special train, left from Ara Junction around 11:58 PM. But it was stopped shortly after the fire was detected. Following emergency repairs, the train reached Buxar Railway Station at 6:40 AM, where arrangements were made to transport the passengers to continue their journeys, officer said.
Danapur DRM Jayant Chaudhary also said that four to five trains were diverted due to the incident.
In November, there was a big fire in one of the sleeping coaches of the Clone Humsafar Express while it was traveling from New Delhi to Darbhanga.
Eight passengers got hurt because of the fire. The train was very crowded because many people were traveling for the Chath festival.
