Fake Doctor Flees After Complaint filed in Bongaigaon

A man allegedly posing as a qualified (Fake) doctor for nearly 25 years has fled after a formal complaint was lodged against him in Bongaigaon. The Assam Council of Medical Registration filed an FIR accusing the man, identified as S. Sartajuddin, of practising medicine with a fake medical degree.

According to the complaint, Sartajuddin had been treating patients for decades using forged certificates that claimed he held a medical degree from Russia. He reportedly ran a well-furnished clinic and even operated a clinical laboratory, misleading patients into believing he was a certified medical practitioner.

Soon after the FIR was submitted, police sealed the clinic. Authorities launched a search operation to trace the fake doctor, who fled from the area immediately after the complaint surfaced. Police teams have also been conducting raids at his residence and other suspected locations to gather further evidence.

Earlier, in Cachar several fake doctor arrested by the police.
