An e-rickshaw diver arrest in Chirang, Assam for allegedly attempting to rape a woman on Monday while delivering a gas cylinder.

the incident occurred in Gossaigaon area of Chirang district, Assam.

The e-rickshaw diver identified as Muzaraf Ali, who visited the victim woman house to deliver LPG cylinder and taking the advantage of her being alone with her son, he attempt to rape.

According to reports, taking advantage of solitude the accused grabbed the victim and gag her mouth before inappropriately touching and injuring her by biting several parts.

When the victim screamed for help, the neighbours rescued her and caught the accused.

While speaking to media the victim’s husband said that his wife called him that their gas cylinder was empty. He arranged for a replacement nearby shop, which he sent vis e-rickshaw for delivery. Taking the advantage of woman’s solitude, the driver grabbed her from behind and attempt to sexually assault her.

The husband stated, “My wife confronted him, resulting in minor injuries to her body.” The victim confirmed by stating, “I sustained injuries on my mouth, chest, and hand.”

Locals caught the driver and handed him over to the Bijni police. Further investigation is going on..
