Devastating Fire Destroys 9 Shops in Katigorah, Cachar

Durga Puja is near, while due to heavy rain many area causes flood, in middle of this a devastating fire incident took place in Katigorah, Cachar.

On the late night of Monday, massive fire incident took place in Kushiarkul Bazaar, West Katigorah, where 9 shops gutted into fire, and approximately 70 to 80 lakh goods have become ashes.

According to information, late on Monday night fire broke out at the Kuhiarkul Bazar, destroyed a complex and cause heavy financial losses. The incident occurred at Koko Singh Complex, where 9 shops were located.

The fire broke out around midnight, due to late hour, nobody noticed and immediately. After seeing the fire, local residents rushed to the scene and tried to extinguish the fire, but they failed. They called fire engines but they also tried to take control over it, but couldn’t.

Late night they somehow took control of fire but in that time the shops turned into ashes.

The authorities are currently investigating the case. No casualties reported.

However, the shop owners are facing a major setback. With Durga Puja approaching, many had stocked up on goods for the festive season. Now, with their shops destroyed, they’ve lost both their stock and the chance to earn during one of the busiest times of the year, putting their livelihoods at risk.
