Chhattisgarh Government has launched many scheme for the farmers to help them. In among all those scheme Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana is one of scheme or yojana where the government provide solar irrigation pumps at concessional rates. The scheme aims to empower the farmer. By this solar pumps it will help in increasing agricultural production in the state as well as in conserving and enhancing ground water and strengthening the rural economy.
Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana is implemented by Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA- Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency). Beneficiaries under the scheme selected by the Agriculture Department. More than 1 lakh solar pumps have been installed under the scheme.
Objective of Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana
The objective of the Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Scheme is to build solar irrigation pumps for the irrigation needs of the farmers. This Scheme has started from 01 November 2016. The scheme aims of empowering farmers by providing irrigation pumps at concessional rates. The adoption of solar pumps will increase agricultural production in the state while also saving and improving ground water strengthening the rural economy. The scheme includes provisions for the installation of a solar pump with a capacity of 3 H.P. and 5 H.P
Types of solar pumps distributed under Saur Sujala Scheme
Under Solar Sujala Scheme, 03 HP and 05 HP. Capacity surface and submersible solar pumps are being installed. On-site warranty and maintenance of solar pumps installed under the scheme is done by the installing unit for 05 years. There is a provision of 05 years insurance against wear and tear and theft/damage in the plant.

In addition to the above beneficiary contribution, Rs. 01. Processing fee has to be paid at the rate of per watt (Rs. 3000 for 03 HP/3000 Watts and Rs. 4800 for 05 HP/4800 Watts).
Eligibility Criteria of Chhattisgarh Saur Sujala Yojana
- The applicants must be a Small/medium/large-scale farmers
- The farmers must be a residents of Chhattisgarh

The Documents required for application under Solar Sujala Scheme for installation of solar pump under Solar Sujala Scheme are:-
- It is mandatory for the beneficiary to have agricultural land and water source (borewell, well, river/drain etc.) in his own name.
- attested photocopy of address proof,
- attested photocopy of Aadhar card,
- attested map of Khasra/area of land and work site,
- attested photocopy of caste certificate,
- amount of processing fee and
- application form
- 02 photographs of the beneficiary.

- Attached all the important documents to the form
- Lastly submit the form along with the attached document to the Agriculture Office.
