Cachar Secures ₹299.87 Crore Investment deal at Advantage Assam 2.0

Cachar district administration has secured investment commitments worth ₹299.87 crore during the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit. They have signed 84 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) which aimed at boosting industrial development and generating employment.

The investments, ranging between ₹1 crore to ₹25 crore, will propose as the key sectors such as food processing, manufacturing, fisheries, agriculture, tourism and trade-related infrastructure.
Among the 84 projects, nine investments exceed ₹10 crore, while 75 smaller-scale projects will drive inclusive growth across various sectors.

Where did the MoU signed

The MoU signed at the District Commissioner’s office in Silchar on February 26, 2nd Day of Assam Advantage 2.0, facilitated through a single-window clearance system to ensure seamless approvals and improve the ease of doing business.

District Commissioner Mridul Yadav and ADC Yubaraj Borthakur reiterated the administration’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship and investment. The summit also featured a live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaugural address from Guwahati’s Khanapara, underscoring the significance of the event.

With the potential to generate 2,008 job opportunities, these investments are expected to strengthen Cachar’s economic landscape and drive long-term industrial growth in the region.
