Cachar Police seized Rs.7 Crore Worth drugs in Silchar

Cachar police on October 7, carried out two operation in different two places in Silchar area, Assam from where they seized huge amount of drugs worth Rs. 7 Crore. One accused arrested in connection of trafficking.

Based on secret inputs, Cachar police launched two special operation in Ramnagar and Silchar area. From there police managed to recovered and seized 572 grams of heroin and 10,000 Yaba Tablet. This seized items market value would be Rs. 7 Crore. They also managed to arrest one person in connection with Yaba Tablet.

This operation is a part of anti-narcotics operation to make Assam Drug Free State.

In another operation, Biswanath Police intercepted a vehicle at Naka Point on NH15 and managed to seize 314kg of Ganja valued at ₹1.57cr.

Assam CM Himanta Sarma Stated, “Stringent action on Drugs: Recovery of above ₹8cr Based on reliable inputs, @assampolice carried out anti-narcotics operation and recovered huge quantity of drugs @biswanathpol intercepted a vehicle at Naka Point on NH15 and managed to seize 314kg of Ganja valued at ₹1.57cr @cacharpolice carried out 2 special ops in Silchar and Ramnagar and recovered 572gms heroin and 10,000 YABA tablets worth ₹7cr. One person has been apprehended.”
