Cachar Police on 11 March launched an operation in the Channighat area of Dholai. From there they seized a huge amount of drugs. The operation witnessed tense moments as police fired two rounds while when the three drug peddlers wanted to flee from the scene. Despite the challenges, law enforcement managed to arrested one of the suspects, Tamizur Rahman, while the other two remain manage to escape. During the operation, a total of 55 cases suspected heroin seized.

Their proactive actions led to success as they followed a private car and a scooter that were suspected to be involved in illegal activities. When the suspects tried to escape, police fired two rounds but two managed to flee from the. But among them police caught Rahman.
He had 55 cases with about 750 grams of heroin inside them. The estimated international market value of the seized contraband is a staggering 5 crore rupees.
Despite this significant breakthrough, the Cachar Police remain vigilant, continuing their efforts to bring the remaining two absconding drug peddlers to justice. Rahman has detained under the stringent provisions of the NDPS Act, underscoring the authorities’ unwavering commitment to combating drug-related crimes and ensuring public safety.
