On June 26, Special Task Force, Assam and Cachar police intercepted a vehicle a huge amount drugs in Silchar.
Based on tip off, Cachar police and Special Task Force, Assam has jointly launched an anti-narcotics operation in Silchar, Cachar. In this operation they intercepted a vehicle coming from other neighbouring state.
They launch a search operation and recovered 900 grams of heroin from the vehicle. They also arrested one person in connection of it.
The market value of the seized illegal items would be Rs. 4.5 Crore.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma take his social media account and laud for the Assam police. He stated, “In a successful anti-narcotics operation carried out by STF Assam and Cachar Police, a vehicle was intercepted at Silchar and 900gms of heroin valued at ₹4.5cr was recovered. The heroin was being transported from a neighbouring State and one person has been apprehended in this regard. Good job Team Assam Police!
