Cachar Police on 31st December 2024, seized a huge amount of heroin from the area of Jirighat, Cacharnear Assam-Manipur border.
According to information, Based on secret inputs on Tuesday afternoon Cachar police intercepted an auto-rickshaw and recovered huge amount of heroin in Jirighat area.
One suspected drug trafficker arrested. The suspected drug trafficker identified as Lalmonsom Vaiphei of Saimar Amur Punji village of Jirighat. He has been intercepted by police while travelling from Jirighat in an Auto-Rickshaw bearing registration number AS11CC 9149. Police recovered 13 soap cases containing 153 gram heroin from the vehicle.
Police post on social media by stating, “Cachar Police conducted a comprehensive naka-checking drive targeting drunk driving and other violations across the district, ensuring enhanced safety and security for families and their loved ones.”
