Cachar Police on 24th July seized huge number of drugs with Yaba Tablets. The seized items worth would be 40-45 crore Rupees in international Market.
The Special Task Force (STF) and Cachar Police jointly carried out an operation in the area of Ramnagar Bypass, Silchar under the supervision of DIG and intercepted the Vehicle which was carrying the Illicit items.
DIG has come yesterday in tour of Barak Valley areas for two days to inspect. It is the first after he took incharge as DIG in Assam to come Barak Valley.
During The operation they seized 2.5 kg of Heroin and 1 lakh Yaba tablets from the vehicle and also arrested three drug peddlers. The seized drugs would be 45 crore Rupees. The name of the drug peddler is Manowar Hussain, Sadar Uddin and Afsar Alam.
Among them one of the drug dealer wanted to flee from the scene but failed the police immediately shot and encounter to catch the criminal. But the bullet has fall into the legs of the Criminal. So, police caught the dealer and admitted him to the Silchar Medical College and Hostipal (SMCH) for treatment. The condition of the criminal is in critical condition. The police said the treatment is going on. The name the drug dealer who wanted to flee from the scene is Manowar Hussain.
Cachar Police also intercepted two empty trucks with Marijuana
In that day Cachar Police also intercepted two empty trucks in Kalaincherra where they recovered 149 packets of marijuana weighing 1100 kg and also arrested two people in connection of it. The trucks were coming Tripura and on the way to Guwahati. The police recovered the packets from the secret boxes of trucks.
The name of the person who is arrested is the driver Kockrul Islam and Uttam Saha. The recovered Marijuana’s worth would be 1 Crore Rupees.
