A 24 years old youth sentenced 20 years Jail in abduction and rape of a minor girl by Cachar court of Additional Session Judge (Special Judge, POCSO) Narayn Kuri on Monday. The judgment was pronounced against the convict Anamul Haque Laskar of Dumurghat area under Udharbond, Cachar.
The incident took place on June 7, 2024 in the Channighat Tea Garden area of Undharbond. According to reports, a 14 years old girl studying in her home adjacent to the kitchen where her mother was cooking food at 8 PM. In that time the girl’s father was not at home. Taking advantage of the situation, Anamul abducted the girl and raped her. When her mother didn’t find her, she began to search everywhere but couldn’t locate her. Next morning the convict left her near home and fled.
The Minor Rape Case incident of Cachar

The next day parents filed an FIR against convict at Udharbond Police Station. They alleged Anamul had come near their house, where their neighbour, Selim Uddin and his wife lured the minor girl, and handed her to Anamul. He then took her in a auto to a deserted area, near Arunabond Tea Stated, where he allegedly raped her.
The Next day, Anamul dropped her near her house. The Minor girl state that they were in a relationship, but claimed that she did not known that he was married until she went him in auto.
After the investigation, police submit the charge sheet in court, where Anamul was named as accused. Subsequently, the trial process begun and on Monday court delivered it verdict.
Anamul found guilty and sentenced three years of imprisonment under Section 363 of Indian Penal Sode, along with fine of Rs 5000. In case it he failed to serve the fine, he will have an additional one month jail.
Furthermore, under section 4 of the POSCO Act, he sentenced to 20 years old jail and fined of Rs 20,000. If he failed to pay the fine he will get addition six moth of jail.
