Breaking News: Little Boy Swept Away in Guwahati Drain Body Recovered

The rescue team today, July 7 in the morning, recovered the dead body of a little boy in the area of Rajgarh, Guwahati swept away in drain. They suspected that the dead body would be the 8 years old boy Avilash Sarkarโ€™s.

Avilash Sarkar swept away by flood water from a roadside drain from Jyotinagar, Guwahati last Friday night. After recovering the dead body, it has sent to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) identification.

The parents of Avilash Sarkar have confirmed that the dead body which was rescued in the drain today as their child at Guwahati Medical College Hospital.

The rescue team launched the search operation this early morning to find the missing child Avilash and recovered the dead body.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed condolence by stating, “Deeply pained! With a heavy heart, we have learnt that the child’s body has been found. My deepest condolences go out to his parents and family during this unimaginable time. I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated personnel of the NDRF, SDRF, Police, and District Administration for their tireless efforts in the search and rescue operations.”

Earlier, on Saturday CM Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Little child parent to express concern. He also monitors the going search operation to rescue the boy. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said to the parents, โ€œExtensive search operations have been underway since Friday to find your child, and they will continue until Sunday. If your son is not found by then, it will be 72 hours, which means the chances of finding him alive will be very low.โ€

How did the Little boy Avilash Sarkar swept away by the drain of Guwahati?

The Chief Minister asked the parents to take care of their health and go home to rest. He said, “Staying here without rest will harm your health. Remember, you have another son who needs you. You must stay strong for him. Please go home today and rest. Come back tomorrow morning when the search starts again.โ€

According to reports, the Avilash Sarkar 8 years old and his father was returning home on a scooter at night on Friday. When they were returning at home it was raining heavily. Due to heavy rain the road become slippery. Suddenly, due to slippery road, the scooter slipped and the boy who was sitting in the middle fell into the drain. In an instant, the strong current of the drain carried him away.

To save the little boy the father also jumped in the drain, but he couldnโ€™t able to find.
