A young man from Assam’s Bongaigaon district has been arrested for allegedly posting objectionable and provocative remarks on social media following the recent Delhi bomb blast.
The accused has been identified as Rafijul Ali, who reportedly shared a controversial post on his Facebook account soon after the tragic incident.
According to police sources, the post quickly drew public attention for its insensitive and inflammatory content. Acting promptly, authorities traced the remarks to Ali’s social media profile and detained him for questioning.
Officials stated that such actions will not be tolerated, emphasizing that strict measures will be taken against anyone attempting to spread misinformation, hatred, or incite public unrest through digital platforms—especially during sensitive situations concerning national security and public safety.
Police have confirmed that a detailed investigation into the case is currently underway.
